CLENDENIN, W.Va. (AP) - Kanawha County authorities say a man armed with an axe was fatally shot while chasing another man.
Kanawha County Sheriff’s Cpl. Brian Humphreys says 38-year-old Robert Parsons II of Clendenin was pronounced dead at the scene. He didn’t identify the man who shot Parsons.
The shooting occurred Sunday afternoon near Clendenin.

Humphreys says in a news release that the incident remains under investigation and no arrests have been made.
