OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) - A fire that that burned a San Francisco Bay Area building housing the administrative offices of a children’s hospital is being investigated as an arson.
Oakland Fire Department Battalion Chief Geoff Hunter said Friday that the one-alarm blaze was reported just after 2:30 a.m. in the two-story house housing offices of Children’s Hospital Oakland.
Hunter says firefighters had the blaze under control by 3 a.m. but that it caused extensive damage to the upstairs and smoke and fire damage to the first floor.

Hunter estimated the total cost of the damage at about $150,000.
KTVU-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1fThTpu ) that Hunter says no one was in the offices at the time of the fire and that no one was injured.
