SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - Authorities say a Fort Thompson man has been sentenced to 1 ½ years in prison for sexual abuse of a minor.
U.S. Attorney Brendan Johnson says 23-year-old Jordan Traversie was sentenced on Wednesday in federal court.
Traversie was pleased guilty to the charge in January.

Johnson says the conviction stems from a 2012 incident in which Traversie knowingly engaged in sexual intercourse with the victim under the age of 16.
This case was investigated by the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
