WASHINGTON | The Expos-turned-Nationals are celebrating Andre Dawson’s induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. The franchise that moved from Montreal to Washington before the 2005 season also is unveiling what it’s calling a Hall of Fame Ring of Honor at Nationals Park before Tuesday’s game against the Florida Marlins. The team says the ring recognizes players who are in the Hall of Fame and spent “significant years” with the Expos, the Nationals, the Senators or the Negro Leagues’ Homestead Grays. Among those whose names are now lining the facade above the lower bowl behind home plate at the stadium: Dawson, Gary Carter, Walter Johnson, Harmon Killebrew, Josh Gibson, James “Cool Papa” Bell, Joe Cronin, Early Wynn and Clark Griffith.
