White House press secretary Dana Perino said Thursday that the current economic crisis could eventually plunge the U.S. into a depression worse than that of the 1930’s.
When asked whether the crisis could become worse than the Great Depression, Mrs. Perino said “not necessarily, but it could be.”
“I think that we have taken some action to help prevent it. And they’re trying to stabilize and strengthen the markets now,” she said.
