Wizards coach Eddie Jordan said he will again go with Dee Brown at point guard, DeShawn Stevenson at guard, Caron Butler and Antawn Jamison at the forward positions and rookie JaVale McGee at center for his starting lineup tonight against the Rockets.
McGee has a tough challenge ahead of him as he will have to go up against Yao Ming, who is back in the lineup after missing a game with a sore foot.
Jordan’s message to McGee: “Follow the game plan, the pick and roll game plan, to run the floor, use your strengths, which [Yao] probably can’t keep up with running the floor with you being so athletic, stay between him and the basket, don’t overcommit yourself in the post, stay down pump-fakes, and you’ve got to put a body on him to rebound.”
It’ll definitely be an interesting matchup to watch.
Antonio Daniels will be back in the lineup, returning to his familiar role of coming off the bench.
