A day after he delivers his State of the Union address, President Obama will head to a Costco store in suburban Maryland to speak about the economy, the White House announced Monday.
The president’s remarks, which are open to the media but closed to the public, will come at Costco’s Lanham store at about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The administration announced no other details about the speech, but it’s possible the president will use the event to push for greater federal investment into infrastructure, research and other areas.
Mr. Obama is also likely to again address the growing issue of income inequality in the U.S., expected to be a central topic of his highly anticipated State of the Union address on Tuesday night.
