Iran launched retaliatory strikes overnight on U.S. assets in the Middle East in the most expansive round of attacks since fighting resumed this week.
Jordan’s Ministry of Defense confirmed that 13 missiles entered its airspace from Iran, targeting the King Hussein and Al-Azraq air bases. Three impacts were detected, but Jordanian authorities said the missiles crashed in remote areas and caused no damage.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced it attacked a Marine Corps training facility in Jordan known as Camp Titin, killing several U.S. service members. Jordanian and U.S. authorities denied the IRGC’s claim, asserting that there were no American casualties.
The IRGC also targeted the Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain on Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning. Iranian officials said the strikes were intended to hit U.S. forces and destroy radar facilities.
Neither U.S. nor Bahraini officials confirmed the strike.
Iran also reportedly launched drones at Kuwait, but all were intercepted.

U.S. forces struck IRGC sites in Iran on Tuesday after alleged Iranian attacks on commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz earlier that day, according to U.S. Central Command.
CENTCOM said Tuesday evening in a statement that it had targeted “air defense sites, radar systems, [and] maritime assets” in the latest barrage.
Reports from state-affiliated media in Iran indicated that the U.S. bombed sites near the Iranian port city of Bandar Abbas, Konarak, Chabahar, Qeshm Island and Sirik.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei said that one of the U.S. strikes hit a wedding party in Kuhestak, killing and wounding more than 50 people. There is no official U.S. confirmation of the strike.
The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations Center reported Monday that Saudi Arabian and South Korean tankers were struck by unidentified objects within minutes of each other in Hormuz.
President Trump confirmed separately that the U.S. strikes were in retaliation for Iran’s attempted mine-laying operations and recent attacks on a U.S. military base in Jordan.
“If the failed Nation of Iran retaliates for this very justified attack, they will be hit again at a much harder and higher level, but it will not be the biggest attack of them all, that is waiting in the wings and, when it is over, there will be very little left of the Islamic Republic of Iran!” the president posted on social media.
