Delta Air Lines Flight 2311 going from Los Angeles to Salt Lake City was forced to divert to Las Vegas due to cabin pressure issues.
A Delta spokesperson told Fox News that the six crew members on board “followed their training and procedures to safely bring the aircraft to optimal altitude when an unexpected pressurization issue occurred.”
No injuries to the crew or the 174 passengers on Flight 2311 Sunday were reported.
The plane left Los Angeles International Airport for Salt Lake City International Airport at 5:24 p.m. Sunday.
Mapping data from FlightAware shows the plane was 36,000 feet up just 24 minutes into the flight and that it descended over 27,000 feet in the 10 minutes afterward.
After the plane’s cabin depressurized, oxygen masks deployed for the passengers, according to Fox News.
Delta has not said what caused the aircraft cabin to lose pressure.
After landing in Las Vegas, the passengers deplaned and were rebooked on another flight to get them to Salt Lake City, according to The National News Desk.
