Hayden Panettiere’s ex-fiance says someone previously connected to the late actress sold some of her belongings to a pawn shop.
Former Ukrainian professional boxer Wladimir Klitschko claims in a Los Angeles County court filing that he was “informed and believes” a nonfamily member sold the items, including jewelry.
He asked law enforcement to help investigate and recover the items, citing financial harm to their 11-year-old daughter, Kaya, Panettiere’s sole heir.

This filing follows a Sept. 24 petition in which Mr. Klitschko sought temporary guardianship of Panettiere’s estate on Kaya’s behalf, stating he needed standing to file a probate petition and nominate an administrator. In that petition, he cited a high probability that her property could be lost, damaged or dissipated before an administrator was appointed.
Panettiere’s mother, Lesley Vogel, told The New York Times that she believes the actress’ ex-boyfriend Brian Hickerson pawned some of her belongings before her death.
Ms. Vogel told the newspaper that Mr. Hickerson, who filed for bankruptcy in 2022, sold off some of the late actress’ possessions. She said that a vintage guitar was among the items and that her daughter was surprised to learn Mr. Hickerson kept other belongings in a storage unit in his name.
Panettiere, 36, died in August, and her death was ruled an accident caused by the toxic effects of fentanyl and other drugs.
