“Dirty Dancing: The Musical,” based on the 1987 hit film, will open on Broadway this winter for a seven-month engagement, Deadline reports.

Performances will begin Feb. 12 at the Lena Horne Theatre, with a gala celebration set for March 14 and the run ending Sept. 5. An official press opening night has not been announced.

The director will be Lonny Price, who played Neil Kellerman, grandson of Catskill resort owner Max Keller, in the original film. Darrell Grand Moultrie will choreograph.

The production includes a book by Eleanor Bergstein, who wrote the film’s screenplay, and songs from the movie, including the showstopping finale “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life.”
