The Metropolitan Police Department is asking the public for help finding a woman who threatened someone with a baseball bat in a fit of road rage.
The victim was in a crosswalk in the 4700 block of Georgia Avenue NW at about 2 p.m. on Aug. 11 and got into an argument with the woman, who was stopped in a car, police said Monday in a news release.
The police said the woman confronted the victim while brandishing the bat, then damaged the victim’s phone by throwing it on the ground. The victim was not injured.

Surveillance footage uploaded to YouTube by police shows the woman walking past her car holding the bat, then returning and throwing the phone.
The woman left before officers arrived.
Police ask that anyone with information about who the woman is to call 202-727-9099 or text 50411.
The police department is offering up to $1,000 to anyone whose information leads to the arrest and indictment of people who commit a crime in the District.
