Aerosmith will return to the stage for two nights at the Hollywood Bowl later this month, two years after the band said it was retiring from touring because of frontman Steven Tyler’s vocal injury.

The band will headline “California, Dream On: Aerosmith & Friends” on Oct. 29 and Nov. 1. Live Nation-Hewitt Silva and Blackbird Presents announced the concerts Wednesday, with producer Don Was serving as music director.

Guests include The Black Crowes, Run-D.M.C., Heart, Billy Idol, Eric Church, Slash, Sammy Hagar, Tom Morello, Duff McKagan, Chad Smith, Jerry Cantrell, Marcus King, Nuno Bettencourt and Pat Monahan. Promoters said the lineup will vary each night, additional guests will be announced in the coming weeks and final lineups will be revealed at or near showtime and are subject to change.

Citi cardmembers can buy presale tickets starting Thursday at 10 a.m. PT, with the general on-sale set for Saturday at 10 a.m. PT. A portion of proceeds will benefit Mr. Tyler’s Janie’s Fund, according to the event’s website.

The band teased the shows in a video posted Monday that showed Mr. Tyler climbing a ladder to affix letters to the Hollywood Bowl marquee while photographer Ross Halfin looked on.

Aerosmith’s “Peace Out” farewell tour was halted after three shows when Mr. Tyler fractured his larynx during a Sept. 9, 2023, concert in Elmont, New York. The three dates grossed $12.4 million from 53,456 tickets, according to Pollstar Boxoffice. The band announced its retirement from touring on Aug. 2, 2024, saying a full recovery was not possible, Blabbermouth reported.

Mr. Tyler has continued to perform in limited settings, including the July 2025 Black Sabbath farewell concert in Birmingham, England. Guitarist Joe Perry said in April that the band was not in touring mode and that Mr. Tyler had only recently grown comfortable singing again.
