President Trump has officially decided Fox News has “lost their way.”
Mr. Trump, a longtime ally of the Murdoch family-controlled media company, said Fox News doesn’t cover Republicans enough compared with coverage of left-wing candidates and officials.
“Fox News spends more time covering the Jihadist and Dumocrat candidates than they do the good old fashioned Republicans, the people that have saved America, and are making it great again,” he said Tuesday on social media. “All they talk about is Dumocrat Jihadists like [Michigan Democratic Senate nominee Abdul] El-Sayed, with his softball interview by [Fox News anchor] Martha MacCallum, and the like. She never interviews me like that.”

The president added, “They don’t show my record breaking Rallies the morning after, but others do, and that’s what MAGA is watching. Fox is promoting the Dumocrats, not the Republicans and MAGA. They have totally lost their way!”
His dissatisfaction with Fox’s coverage isn’t new. He has criticized the network for years, including for not covering his recent rallies.
“It’s the old undercurrent at Fox News! Other networks are reporting about these Rallies, and really positively, like ‘crazy!’ Our people want to see our Rallies, and reports on our Rallies, on Fox News, or they will very quickly stop watching (like I am doing right now!),” he said Sunday. “Fox spends more time talking to Communists, Socialists, and Dumocrats, often without rebuttal, and MAGA is not, to put it mildly, happy.”
He directed his ire at the media outlet for parting ways with anchor Maria Bartiromo.
The financial journalist’s abrupt departure came, complete with a short farewell statement from Fox, after more than a decade at the network.
Her exit was not a firing, her attorney said, trying to quell reports that she was axed as punishment for disclosing an internal memo to the Trump administration in which Fox managers told staff not to lend credibility to Mr. Trump’s 2020 election interference claims.
White House senior counselor Peter Navarro later confirmed Ms. Bartiromo sent him information about the guidance.
Mr. Trump said Sunday, “Who makes these decisions at Fox News? Probably the same loser that fired the great Maria Bartiromo because she complained about not being allowed to cover ‘TRUMP.’ She’ll end up bigger and better than ever — watch! Cover our ‘happenings,’ and not the opposition to Greatness for America, or Fox News will soon have the ratings of FAKE NEWS CNN or MSNOW (MSDNC).”
His complaints come after a new era of media boycotts between the president and the White House press pool.
CNN, Politico and MS NOW were barred from the White House, with their reporters’ credentials deactivated and confiscated, following Mr. Trump’s ban on the outlets for intentionally reporting “fake news.”
In solidarity, Fox News, ABC, CBS and NBC subsequently said they would not cover events designated as TV pool coverage of the president after the White House stopped CNN from doing its assigned pool duties.
To contest the media ban, the trio of news outlets sued the Trump administration, citing First Amendment violations.
Fox News and a cohort of other outlets jointly submitted an amicus brief in U.S. District Court in support of the suit.
A judge granted a temporary restraining order Sept. 24 requiring the administration to reinstate the journalists’ credentials for 14 days.
On Monday, the White House barred Politico from Air Force One for the Nebraska campaign trip.
A hearing is set for Thursday on the outlets’ motion for a preliminary injunction, which would extend the order.
