Supermodel Heidi Klum, known for her all-out Halloween parties, told USA Today she once went straight from a three-day hospital stay to her bash.

“I came straight out of the hospital, but I still went,” the “Project Runway” host said at her Halloween pre-party Thursday in New York, just before her 25th annual blowout on Saturday.

She said the hospitalization happened in 2013, when she “got really, really ill” after eating something and was “very close [to] having a blood transfusion.”

That same year, she said, she went straight to her hair and makeup chair and then to the party, which was her 14th, dressed as an elderly woman and “looking like a 90-year-old.” She added she was “feeling also quite old that night because I was flying so long.”

Her children, Leni Klum, 22; Henry Samuel, 21; and Johan Samuel, 19, were also at the party and have supported her on the red carpet in past years.

Ms. Klum offered a hint about this year’s costume, saying, “My body is going to fit in a shape that normally a human body would not fit in.”

When asked whether she would consider taking a year off, Ms. Klum said, “Taking a year off? Are you crazy?”
