Nathan Fielder’s documentary about former Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes faces a challenge in its opening on Friday — from first lady Melania Trump.

Her documentary, “Melania,” about the 20 days before President Trump’s second inauguration, made $7.1 million at the box office when it was released in January —  the biggest opening for a nonmusic or concert documentary in more than a decade.

Mr. Fielder’s documentary, “You Can See Everything,” has received raves from critics, but it remains to be seen whether it can top “Melania”’s opening.
