OPINION:
The votes had barely been counted and Democrat Rep. Robert Garcia from California took to social media to send this message to members of the losing Republican Party — and to President Trump and family and MAGAs in general: “Lawyer up.”
And with that, the Democrats have ushered in their plans for the next two years of their control of the House and Senate; that is, to use tax dollars to pursue any and all investigation, accusation, inquiry and examination of those who’ve supported Trump and opposed leftist policies.
No surprise here.

Americans should have known that was their plan before election night. They had been saying it for a very long time. But now the reality is here and the Democrat wins have arrived and right around the swearing-in ceremony corner will come — impeachment, impeachment, impeachment.
Impeach Trump. Impeach Secretary of War Pete Hegseth.
Abolish ICE. Prosecute ICE.
Investigate, investigate, investigate.
It’s easy to kick off probes into political enemies when the money for the persecuting side comes from the bottomless pool of tax dollars — and when even a meaningless investigation on drummed-up and fabricated accusations can send the targets of the investigation into the poor house. Democrats’ new mantra: If you can’t jail ‘em, bankrupt ‘em!
“Democrats win … with a vow to combat Trump,” NBC News wrote.
“US Midterm Elections Results: Democrats Vow To Prove ICE,” Republic World wrote in a headline on a YouTube video.
“Democrats Vow Trump Family Probe, Target ICE And Epstein Files,” India Today wrote.
And that’s the one campaign promise Democrats have made that they’re guaranteed to keep.
They have to — because they have to distract from the fact their lame promises to restore “affordability,” undefined as they were, will not lead to any concrete reductions in gasoline prices, food prices, inflation. Democrats don’t lower prices; they raise them. Everything they stand for — green deals, higher taxes on businesses, socialism, regulatory controls on energy production, etc. — brings about higher costs, higher taxes and higher inflation. So how will they achieve “affordability” for all?
They won’t.
So with 2028 in mind, and their hearts set on winning the White House, the Democrats in power will spend the next two years investigating all-things-Trump, all-things-MAGA, all-things-not-Democrat, wasting away Americans’ tax dollars on frivolous congressional hearings and inquiries, and then blame Republicans and the White House and Trump for vetoing all the ridiculous agendas they try to shove through Congress — and all along do absolutely nothing to improve the lives of American citizens. Illegals, mind you, will have it made.
