The Washington Capitals, alongside the other 31 NHL franchises, unveiled their new “Hometown Remix” jerseys on Monday through a collaboration with Fanatics. Washington’s new kits feature a deep blue hue and the popular “Screaming Eagle” logo on the shoulders.
Striping along the sleeves and bottom of the jersey highlights the blues with a “rotunda bronze.” The shoulders feature a gray marble pattern, calling to the District’s iconic monuments. Cherry blossoms hide along the hem.
The primary logo on the center of the sweater is the team’s throwback “Capitol Dome” image, which was used from 2002 through 2007. The “Screaming Eagle” was first introduced in 1995 to replace a Capitals wordmark logo, similar to the one in use today.

“The Capitals’ Hometown Remix design draws inspiration from an unforgettable era of Capitals hockey that culminated in the team’s first Stanley Cup Final appearance, while being remixed through a distinctly Washington, D.C., lens,” said Amanda Tischler, the Capitals senior vice president of marketing. “The jersey celebrates the legacy of Capitals hockey while reflecting the city and community that have shaped the team. The result is a jersey that honors where we’ve been while celebrating what makes Capitals hockey uniquely Washington.”
The Capitals will wear the jersey at 11 home games this season, starting with Saturday’s game against the Florida Panthers.
