OPINION:
New York Attorney General Letitia James is out and about complaining that Mayor Zohran Mamdani has endorsed candidates for public office who just don’t get it — who are too “new to the body politic” and who have not done enough time with “the struggle” to properly represent. And, she said, she’s not the only one “disappointed” with Mamdani’s push to shift the Democrat Party.
Well, you get what you pay for and you get what you deserve.
And the Democrat Party, as recent primaries show, are getting pulled way past democratic and smack into communist and Marxist territory.
For years now, Democrats in leadership have stood silently by as their far-leftist minions have taken to the streets to do the dirty work that the party pretended it didn’t want done; pretended to abhor, but really didn’t; pretended to be against, but really wasn’t. Examples? Defund the police. Black Lives Matter — “Hands up, don’t shoot” — and all the lies upon which those oft-violent street thuggish campaigns were based. LGBTQ rights activists and alongside, Palestinian flag-waving antisemites. The abortion nut jobs who screamed outside the Supreme Court justices’ homes. CHAZ occupation of streets in Seattle, declared off-limits to police and off-limits to law and order. Let’s not forget Occupy Wall Street, the precursor to many of the more modern brick-throwing protests from the low-information crowds.
Democrats used these useful idiot mobs to push their own anti-tea party, anti-MAGA, anti-President Trump and ultimately, anti-America agendas.
Over the years, the violence of the left moved mainstream; became normalized; became accepted. Truly, the Democrat Party’s most important marching order was ‘whatever means necessary’ — leading to assassination attempts on Trump, leading to the slaying of Charlie Kirk, leading to the type of madness that’s really difficult to corral and control, once unleashed. And now that it’s unleashed, what do Democrats do?
They joined the madness.
“I hate the mother———-,” James Carville, longtime Democrat strategist, screamed about Trump on his recent “James Carville Explains” podcast. “And you know what? I don’t want to get rid of it. I don’t want to get better. I want to get worse. I want to hate him more.”
This is the stuff of socialists and Marxists and communists — what today’s Democrats have become.
It’s born of the Democrats’ own making.
James campaigned on a promise to investigate the you-know-what out of Trump — to dig and dig and dig until she found some sort of “crime” she could prosecute, and if not found, then fabricated, all based on her stated assertions he was an “illegitimate president.” She famously said on the eve of her election, Mr. President, “we are not scared of you.”
Well, now she can be scared of Mamdani and his influence.
One of the first things the communists do when they achieve power is to eradicate the useful idiots and intellectuals who prodded them to power in the first place. By whatever means necessary.
