Letter to the editor: Graham’s passing brings out evil sentiments

OPINION:

I was not an admirer of Sen. Lindsey Graham, South Carolina Republican, or his close association with the president. But my God, have people no decency?

I was appalled to read reader comments on my local newspaper’s website about the senator’s passing. These included a strong sentiment of cheering and gloating over Mr. Graham’s sudden and untimely death.

At least one commenter even expressed the hope that another member of the Republican Party would soon follow Mr. Graham.

Is any of these hateful people an individual of faith? If so, what would their faith leaders say?

What has happened to us?

I hope those who stomp on the grave of Lindsey Graham will receive the mercy that they did not provide to him.
