In a letter to the school community, Manassas Park City Schools officials said Ms. Sanders, whom they did not publicly identify, “was not working directly with students at the time of the incident as they had just arrived on campus,” according to the news site InsideNoVa.
Ms. Sanders was taken to the Prince William County Adult Detention Center to sober up and now faces charges of public intoxication, police said.
Ms. Sanders is due in Prince William County District Court for a hearing on the misdemeanor charge on Nov. 30, according to court records.
