Pop singer Harry Styles opened a 30-show residency at Madison Square Garden this week as part of his “Together, Together” tour, which encompasses 67 dates across seven cities worldwide.
His residency reflects a broader industry shift toward fewer cities and more concentrated engagements. The trend includes Bad Bunny’s 31-date residency in Puerto Rico last year and Billy Joel’s decade-long, 104-show stand at Madison Square Garden that ended in 2024.
Omar Al-joulani, president of touring for the entertainment venue company Live Nation, told The New York Times that extended engagements allow artists to build show elements that aren’t practical for a constantly moving production.
Presale prices for Mr. Styles’ tour topped $1,000 for many fans, and thousands of Madison Square Garden tickets have appeared in resale markets.
Tickets for the tour first went on general sale in January. While many shows are technically sold out, seats remain available through third-party resellers.
Resale platform Gametime lists tickets starting at about $265 for select shows, while StubHub has listings starting at about $280.
