OPINION:
He was born Robert Francis Prevost on Sept. 14, 1955. On May 8, 2025, his name was changed to Leo XIV when he was elected pope of the Catholic Church.
As the head of an enormous group of Christian believers, his mission — one would believe — is to be punctilious in the teachings of Jesus and the Holy Bible. How is he doing?
The book of Ecclesiastes 3:8 reads, “A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.” Pope Leo believes diplomacy is the only way to negotiate peace with the devil, which for 47 years has rained death and destruction on millions of people.
