OPINION:
Our citizens need to be made aware that the catastrophic legislation and executive orders made by President Joe Biden, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer have created a socialist-communist nation, replacing our republic. They have taken away freedoms and burdened almost everyone with financial hardships, from high-priced food and fuel to skyrocketing utility costs. They are taking total control of our citizens.
The best and only way to restore our country is to elect Republicans so they have a majority in the House and Senate — and that includes having a committed, uniting Senate majority leader. No longer should we elect “moderate Democrat” senators who vote with the hard-line leftists on spend-and-tax legislation, such as the so-called Inflation Reduction Act.
So replace Sen. Mitch McConnell with a new Republican majority leader and don’t re-elect Sen. Joe Manchin. A unified Republican Congress with respect for the majority of Republicans is essential and should not be undermined by the few Republicans who vote with Democrats on bad legislation.
