OPINION:

The anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in Dallas is fast approaching.

Kennedy negotiated a solution to the October 1962 Cuban missile crisis, thereby preventing thermonuclear war between the U.S.
and the Soviet Union. If he hadn’t, nuclear winter and wind-swept radiation would be infecting the planet today. Such a manifestation would have been the order of the day for centuries.

By negotiating a successful conclusion to the Cuban crisis, thereby avoiding nuclear war with the Soviets, JFK must be heralded as the
greatest president in the history of the United States.

To the current-day generation of Americans, it is for you to recognize and render proper respect to JFK’s legacy. He saved humanity in general and you in particular.

Only because of John F. Kennedy are you alive today.
