Before the election last week, most political pundits of all stripes were warning about an oncoming “red tsunami.” The most glaring exception was President Biden, who gave his second “dark” speech in less than two months, warning that election deniers are a great threat to our “democracy.”

Why give such a speech if the outcome of the election would mean that only Democratic voters would be questioning the results? We now have the answer: The red wave would never materialize and Republicans could not even suggest that the results were rigged because of Mr. Biden’s preemptive strike. Accusing your opponent is something Barack Obama used to his advantage. His older protege just took it a step further and stopped the accusations before they could be made.

Now all we have are Republicans blaming Mitch McConnell and/or former President Donald Trump when they should be focused on how the Democrats did it to them once again.
