U.S. tennis great Serena Williams made headlines Wednesday after The New York Times included a picture of her sister Venus in a story about her new venture fund, “Serena Ventures.”

“No matter how far we come, we get reminded that it’s not enough,” Serena Williams wrote on Twitter. She added the oversight as one reason she was launching her investment fund — to fight “engrained systems woefully unaware of their biases.”

“Because even I am overlooked. You can do better, New York Times,” she wrote.

The newspaper apologized for the mistake, while noting that the photo only appeared in print, not online.

“It was due to an error when selecting photos for the print edition, and it did not appear online,” the NYT Business account tweeted. “A correction will appear in tomorrow’s paper.”
