OPINION:

The presidential oath of office that is prescribed by the U.S. Constitution (Article II, section 1) makes it clear that the president’s supreme responsibility is to “preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.” It is also implied that the president has the responsibility to protect the safety and security of the American people. In fact, in the National Strategy for Counterterrorism it states that the president “bears no greater responsibility than ensuring the safety and security of the American people.”

U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas has the stated primary duty and role of “ensuring public safety in the United States.”

Yet with anarchy at our southern border and allowing criminally dangerous cartels to control our border, it is clear that both President Biden and Secretary Mayorkas have abdicated their responsibility in following federal law, and in their duty to the American people.

At present thousands upon thousands of illegal immigrants are crossing our border, many of them involved in drug trafficking (including lethal fentanyl), human and sex trafficking, serious crimes (murder, rape, etc.) and terrorism. In addition, there is a free flow of those unchecked for serious health problems, including COVID-19.

Not only are Biden and Mayorkas breaking federal law and abdicating their duty in high positions, they are lying to the American people and sneakily transporting illegals to states all across America, placing the American people in grave danger.

Biden and Mayorkas should be impeached and criminally charged for grave offenses against the United States of America. We are beyond a crisis. A Border Governor’s Council should be immediately placed in charge following federal and state laws. The American people will overwhelmingly support this.
