New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio has a plan for getting the Big Apple fully vaccinated: french fries and burgers.
The Democrat touted a partnership with Shake Shack that uses greasy treats to get people in line for COVID-19 shots.
“I want you to look at this and think about, again, some people love hamburgers, some don’t. I really want to respect all ways of life, but if this is appealing to you, just think of this when you think of vaccination,” Mr. de Blasio said during a Thursday press conference.

New Yorkers have until June 12 to show up at Shake Shacks in Harlem, West Village, Upper West Side, Queens Center Mall and other participating locations with a vaccine card or Excelsior Pass to obtain the food.
“As a business born and raised in New York City, we’re excited to team up with the NYC Mayor’s Office to help get more New Yorkers vaccinated — with the help of Shack of course!” the company said in a statement.
“Mmm, vaccination,” the mayor added while biting into a burger. “Mmm. I’m getting a very good feeling.”
