Washington defensive end Chase Young suffered a groin injury and will not return in Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns.

Young was hurt in the second quarter and quickly ruled out. The injury came shortly after the team had also announced defensive lineman Matt Ioannidis would miss the rest of the game with an arm injury.

The two injuries severely impact Washington’s defensive line, which had been a strength through two team games. Entering Sunday, Washington led the league in sacks with 11.

This is the second injury for Young since the franchise took him second overall in this year’s draft. The Ohio State product also missed time in training camp with a hip flexor injury.
