The Maryland Terrapins earned a share of the Big Ten regular-season title for the first time Sunday by finishing their conference schedule 14-6, tying themselves with Wisconsin and Michigan State. But in that three-way tie, Maryland comes up third when seeding the bracket for the Big Ten Tournament.

Wisconsin earned the top seed in the conference tournament set to start this Wednesday in Indianapolis because the Badgers had the best winning percentage in the so-called “mini-group” atop the standings.

Wisconsin went 2-1 against Michigan State and Maryland during the regular season. Michigan State went 2-2 in the group, while the Terrapins only finished 1-2.



But as the No. 3 seed, Maryland still will enjoy a double-bye and begin play on Friday. The Terrapins will draw either No. 6 Penn State, No. 11 Indiana or No. 14 Nebraska, according to the bracket.

All games will be broadcast on Big Ten Network until the semifinals and finals, which CBS will carry. Here is the tournament schedule, followed by the final regular-season standings:

Wednesday, March 11

Game 1: No. 12 Minnesota vs. No. 13 Northwestern, 6 p.m.
Game 2: No. 11 Indiana vs. No. 14 Nebraska, 25 minutes after Game 1

Game 4: No. 5 Iowa vs. Game 1 winner, 25 minutes after Game 3

Friday, March 13
