AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) - Maine Gov. Janet Mills is is wrapping up her visit to Washington for the National Governors Association’s annual winter meeting.
She is participating in the Coalition of Northeast Governors’ winter meeting on Sunday before returning to Maine.
The National Governors Association’s began on Thursday.
As chairwoman of the Natural Resources Committee, Mills discussed work that’s being undertaken to make Maine more resilient to the effects of climate change. That was part of a panel discussion entitled, “Fortifying Our Future: States Becoming More Resilient.”
While in Washington, Mills will meet with Democratic Reps. Chellie Pingree and Jared Golden.
