WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Delaware authorities are searching for an inmate who went missing from a work release on Tuesday, the state’s Department of Correction told news outlets.
Authorities issued a warrant for the arrest of Ernest Richardson, 48, after he failed to return to the Plummer Community Corrections Center in Wilmington, WBOC-TV reported.
He was last seen wearing a black knit hat, plaid jacket, white shirt, black pants, and black and white shoes, according to the department’s description. He was serving time for burglary, the station said.
Richardson last appeared in court in January, according to online court records that also confirmed he was allowed on work release. It’s unclear when his sentence was set to end.
