KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - A man died in an apartment stairwell in Kansas City, police there said.
Officers were called around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday to the Alcazar Apartments for reports of a body, Kansas City police said in a news release. Arriving officers found a man unresponsive in a stairwell, and he was declared dead at the scene.
Police have not released the man’s name or any details on how he may have died. The death is being investigated as a homicide “based on the suspicious nature” of what investigators found at the scene, police spokesman Sgt. Jake Becchina said in the release.
