PHILADELPHIA — Vernon Davis is 35 years old and has been playing in the NFL for 14 seasons. Despite that, the Redskins tight end still has incredible athleticism.

In Sunday’s season opener against the Eagles, Davis leapt over Philadelphia cornerback Ronald Darby on the sideline — sprinting all the way into the end zone for the 48-yard score. The Redskins took an early 7-0 lead over the Eagles in the first.

With the touchdown, Davis surpassed Shannon Sharpe to become sixth all-time in touchdowns among tight ends.

Davis was shaken up on the play after reaching the end zone, but returned to the game on the next series.
