The Washington Capitals finished up a five-game road trip in Toronto Tuesday night, but before returning home, they made sure to jump in on the Nationals World Series win.
At the team’s Halloween party, the Capitals had their own championship celebration, complete with a replica World Series trophy.
And boy, do the Capitals know how to party.
Videos posted to social media were reminiscent of the aftermath of the Capitals’ first Stanley Cup win in 2018, when Alex Ovechkin and pals partied into the night in Las Vegas and kept it going for days back home in Washington.
“We saw the Caps’ parade, so I’m sure (ours is) going to be pretty similar,” Nats outfielder Adam Eaton said. “Those guys partied as well as anybody could have. They set the bar really high. So we’re excited to be able to have a similar situation. Thanks to those guys for kind of paving the way for us. We’ve been so close with the Capitals since I’ve been here.”
