Man seriously injured in Federal Way shooting

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. (AP) - Police are investigating an overnight shooting in Federal Way that left one person in serious condition.

KIRO-TV reports the shooting occurred at around 3 a.m. Saturday on 37th Avenue Southwest, near the Twin Lakes Golf and Country Club.

Police responded to a shots fired call, and when they got there, they found a man who had been shot lying on the ground.

Witnesses reported there were two vehicles parked next to each other, and one of them fled immediately after shots were heard.

The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries.

Detectives did not immediately have a motive or suspect description.
