The Washington Redskins’ quarterback picture is less muddled.

Washington has acquired quarterback Case Keenum and a 2020 seventh-round pick from the Denver Broncos for a 2020 sixth-round pick, according to the NFL Network.

Last week at the NFL scouting combine, the Redskins said they wanted to add a quarterback to compete with veteran Colt McCoy with starter Alex Smith out for the foreseeable future with a leg injury. The team has said they are still high on McCoy, but felt they needed to bring in someone to compete with him.

Keenum, 31, spent last season with the Broncos, but Denver is moving on. The Broncos agreed to trade a fourth-round pick to the Baltimore Ravens for Joe Flacco last month.

Keenum threw for 3,890 yards, 18 touchdowns and 15 interceptions in 2018.
