WILLINGBORO, N.J. (AP) - A New Jersey man who live-streamed his own police chase has been charged with killing his ex-girlfriend’s grandmother and brother inside their home.
The Burlington County prosecutor’s office announced charges Friday against Terrance Matthews. He’s accused of killing 68-year-old Jennifer Vassell and her grandson, nine-year-old Ishon Mathiln Jr.
The victims were found stabbed in their home in Willingboro. Matthews allegedly held his girlfriend against her will overnight into Thursday.
Matthews allegedly fled after he and ex-girlfriend Krissida Williams went to a WaWa store and Williams told an employee that Matthews had killed her family.
Authorities say Matthews live-streamed the high-speed police chase on Facebook before he crashed he car and was captured Thursday afternoon.
Matthews was scheduled to appear in court Friday. It wasn’t known if he’d retained an attorney.
