RENO, Nev. (AP) - A Washoe County sheriff’s bomb squad detonated a suspicious package at a home in Wadsworth with a history of explosive devices.
The sheriff’s office said deputies received a call about the package Sunday night at a home on Olinghouse Road in Wadsworth east of Sparks. A bomb squad x-rayed the package and discovered an improvised explosive device similar to a pipe bomb before exploding it intentionally.
An investigation is continuing but there have been no reports of injuries or arrests.
No other information has been released.
