A broken nose and a shattered winning streak can’t stop the Washington Mystics from dominating in the latest WNBA power rankings.
The Washington team landed in CBS Sports’ No. 1 spot in Monday’s power rankings, scooting up one rung since last week.
The Connecticut Sun, the former front-runners, sunk to third after succumbing to a four-game losing streak.
The Mystics overshadowed the Sun back in June with a 43-point win.

The Mystics’ five-game win streak ended when they fell to the Los Angeles Sparks on Sunday after forward Elena Delle Donne sustained a nasal fracture in the first quarter.
Delle Donne is listed as day-to-day and it’s unclear whether she’ll be back to face the Phoenix Mercury Wednesday.
