RICHMOND — Tempers flared at training camp Tuesday on a sweltering morning.

Offensive lineman Tyler Catalina and defensive lineman JoJo Wicker got into a fight during team drills — with Catalina punching Wicker right in the helmet. That caused defensive lineman Tim Settle to rush in, leading to a shoving match between the offense and defense.

The action, though, didn’t end there.

Later on, tight end Jeremy Sprinkle and safety Montae Nicholson also had to be separated after the two roughed each other up on the ground.

Both instances were quickly halted.

Training camp scuffles are nothing new. Last year, the Redskins and the New York Jets exchanged punches during their three-day joint practices.
