BRIGHTON, Colo. (AP) - A Colorado man has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for vehicular homicide in the 2017 death of a motorcyclist.
Adams County prosecutors say 34-year-old Brian White was sentenced Friday. A jury in October found White guilty of vehicular homicide, reckless vehicular homicide and careless driving in the August 2017 crash that killed 56-year-old David Brown.
Prosecutors asked for the maximum 12-year sentence and told a judge that White tested positive for methamphetamine after the crash. They said White has previous DUI and drug convictions in Pennsylvania.

Adams County District Judge Tomee Crespin said White made a choice to use methamphetamine and drive.
Crespin said White’s history convinced her that he was a danger to the community and should serve the maximum sentence.
