EPPING, N.H. (AP) - A New Hampshire man has pleaded not guilty to negligent homicide in connection with a wrong-way crash that killed a retired Massachusetts police sergeant and his wife.

Police said 31-year-old Ryan Kittredge, of Derry, also pleaded not guilty to a reckless conduct charge Friday. Police said in an affidavit Kittredge told authorities he had been drinking, but wasn’t driving. No one else was in his truck.

Police accused him of driving east on the westbound side of Route 101 in Epping on Jan. 11, and that crashing into a westbound car.
