LAS VEGAS (AP) - Authorities say they have arrested a man accused of fatally shooting another man in a Las Vegas neighborhood.
Police said Friday the shooting happened the previous evening after a dispute in front of a home that escalated to a shootout among the victim, a man who was in the same vehicle as him, and several other people.
According to police, no one was injured in the shootout, and it wasn’t until the victim returned to the area again that a man emerged from the house and shot him.
Police say the man arrested in the shooting is 28-year-old Gilberto Barrientos. He faces a count of open murder.
Police have not identified the man who was killed. They say he was pronounced dead after he was taken to University Medical Center.
