Rapid City Mayor Steve Allender to seek third 2-year term

RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - Rapid City Mayor Steve Allender says he’ll seek a third two-year term in office.

The former police chief defeated two-term incumbent mayor Sam Kooiker (KWAY’-kur) in 2015 and ran unopposed in 2017.

The Rapid City Journal reports that this year’s mayoral election is June 4.
