The Maryland Terrapins jumped back into the Top 25 and earned their highest ranking of the season so far, clocking in at No. 19 in this week’s Associated Press men’s college basketball poll.

Last week, the Terrapins (14-3, 5-1) beat Minnesota on the road 82-67, then came back to College Park and topped Indiana, ranked No. 22 at the time, 78-75. They’re in third place in the Big Ten behind only undefeated Michigan and 15-2 Michigan State.

Maryland spent two weeks in the Top 25 early in the season but hadn’t gotten higher than 23rd. The team’s only three losses have come by five points to undefeated Virginia, by two points at Purdue and by four to Seton Hall.

The Terrapins host Wisconsin Monday night at the Xfinity Center.

The Virginia Cavaliers held steady at No. 4 in the new poll after handily winning two road games last week at Boston College and Clemson.

One of two unbeaten teams remaining in the country, Virginia has two important tests coming up. The Cavaliers host in-state rival Virginia Tech, the country’s ninth-ranked team, Tuesday. Then they travel to No. 1 Duke on Saturday for one of their two regular-season meetings.
