WICHITA, Kan. (AP) - Authorities say a southeast Kansas man has been arrested in an apparent stabbing attack that killed his wife and injured her 84-year-old grandmother.
The Wichita Eagle reports that the grandmother called 911 around noon Monday to report that her granddaughter, 37-year-old Brandy Delmarco, was being assaulted. The grandmother underwent surgery and is expected to survive. The husband was treated at a hospital and is awaiting booking into the county jail on suspicion of second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder.
