HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) - A Henderson police officer is being accused of domestic battery.
Henderson police spokesmwan Katrina Rothmeyer confirmed Sunday that Officer Michael Lee Faires was arrested Friday on a misdemeanor battery charge.
Authorities did not say what led to the 62-year-old officer’s arrest.

Rothmeyer has since been put on administrative leave pending the outcome of an administrative investigation.
Court records show Faires was booked into Henderson Detention Center.
It was not immediately clear Monday if he was still jailed or had an attorney.
