Police: 20-year-old woman killed while crossing street

HILLSBORO, N.H. (AP) - Police say a 20-year-old New Hampshire woman was fatally hit by a pickup truck while crossing the street.

Hillsboro officials say Arianna Theberge was running errands when she was hit by a truck. WMUR-TV reports she was flown to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

Police say the driver stopped after the crash and is being cooperative. Authorities say it is unlikely there will be any charges.

Theberge’s mother Stacy Adams says “she was only 20 years old. Nobody should lose their life at 20.”
